Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has remained the most followed Nigerian on Twitter in a recent report released.
It is believed that the position was once occupied by the Founder and Senior Pastor of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
The number of Wizkid followers rose to 1.55 million, while Pastor Oyakhilome maintains the second position with 1.36 million.
The clergyman only gained a little over 200,000 additional fans on Twitter since 2013, while the young talented Afro-pop singer moved up by almost a million followers.
Other artiste that gained much recently and now has over a million followers includes:
Davido; rising from 300,000 to 1.26 million followers. D’banj; 1.16 million followers.
Don Jazzy; 1.12 million followers. 2Face; 1.07 million followers Tiwa savage; 1.03 million followers.
Some other notable stakeholders in the entertainment industry who have many followers on the social networking site, but they are yet to hit the one million mark are:
Peter Okoye, (one half of the sensational musical group known as P-Square), who has 841,000 followers.
Genevieve Nnaji, (a Nollywood actress), has 834,000 followers.
Basket Mouth, (a standup comedian), has 776,000 followers.
Omotola Ekeinde, (a Nollywood actress), has 621,000 followers.
Tonto Dikeh, (a Nollywood actress), has 559, 000 fans.
