5 Important Steps Taken By President Buhari So Far

He may as well been criticized for being too slow on taking some important decisions concerning his administration, but be that as it may, President Muhammadu Buhari has also made some relevant decisions, ones which some experts believes prepares his bed before laying on it.

Some people have been lifting eyebrow on his delay in appointing his ministers; an action which many believe has prevented his administration from actually taking off. Meanwhile, Nigerians have been watching and expecting what might be the President next move now that he’d just settled down fully into the Aso Villa.


However, the President Buhari has undoubtedly taken some important steps since assuming office on 29th May, 2015, which many has criticized that are necessary and cogent before he could venture into some other issues. 5 of them are:

1.      Visiting Chad and Niger for talks on Boko Haram.

2.      Attending and taking a place of honour at the G7 summit where he secured the help of the US and the UK for the fight against terrorism.

3.      Relocating Military Command Centre to Maiduguri to intensify the fight against Boko Haram.

4.      Ordering the removal of military checkpoints across the country.

5.      Dissolving the board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
