Louis van Gaal declares forward missing (Angel di Maria)

Louis Van Gaal said he doesn't know why Angel di Maria has not joined the team in America.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has declared want-away forward Angel di Maria missing.

The Argentine is on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain but his coach has revealed that he has no knowledge of the whereabout if the foward.

Speaking after Machester United lost 0 – 2 to PSG at Soldier Field in the early hours of Thursday, July 30, Van Gaal said he doesn't know why the forward who played in the Copa America with Argentina has not joined the team in America.

"I don't want to answer that but you can keep asking," Van Gaal said when he asked about Di Maria.
When he was then asked where Di Maria actually was, the United manager added: "Maybe you know where he is. I don't know.

"This is a process and we won't say anything until the end."

PSG coach Laurent Blanc confirmed that they are close to agree a move with Manchester United for Di Maria.

"You know negotiations are ongoing but both are big clubs and as such that can be difficult," the Frenchman said.

"But we feel we are close to the end."
