Hard times they say don’t last for those who are steadfast to the
Lord in prayers. This popular saying could be the right attribution to
use in describing the second chance of Nigerian comedian, Julius Agwu.
Since recovery from the surgery he had some months back, the comedian has been very busy with his shows and his music and has not stopped telling people about God’s favour upon his life.
The singer in a recent interview with TVC, disclosed that the devil is really done a lot of havoc to him that people he helped to attain stardom today totally forgot about him when he needed them.
He mentioned that he was the one who gave the likes of “Basketmouth, Duncan Mighty, Timaya opportunity on stage” while he talked to “Banky W, D’banj, Don Jazzy to come back home to develop their own country” but they never “gave him credit in any way because the devil tied their mouth.”
In his words, “Now people are now calling me. Before it was as if I had dirty on my face but now people are calling me. My CDs have been piled up and the Alaba guys refused to sell it. Dem say ‘who be this one, him career don finish.’
"I know people I called to be my publicist but they refused except Seun Akpara. I called Ayeni The Great but he refused. I begged him but he refused and stopped picking my call. So now I am picking people that stood by me when things were bad na dem I dey pick now,” he stated.
