Zamfara banditry: Air Force commissions 2 helipads

The Nigerian Air Force has inaugurated two helipads at the 207 Quick Response Facility in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital to deal with growing security threats in the state.

The commander of the 207 Quick Response Group in the state, Group Captain Caleb Olayera, said the helipads would serve as base for combat ready helicopters that can respond to emergency security needs in the state.

He said instead of seeking for reinforcement from Kano and Bauchi, the helicopters could now take off from the base in Gusau and respond to security threat immediately.

He then commended the Nigerian Air Force under the leadership of Air Marshal Sadiq Baba Abubakar, for responding to their needs and then boosting their operational capabilities.
