PDP’s 2019 presidential candidate emerges October 6th


The PDP's presidential candidate will emerge on October 6th. This is according to a timetable released by the party's National Working Committee, NWC, yesterday July 23rd.

The party in a statement released yesterday, said sequel to the directive from INEC that all political parties primaries and resolutions of same must begin by the 17th of August, 2018, and end by the 7th of October, 2018, the party will have its convention on October 5th and 6th where its presidential candidate will be elected. 

The party also said it would conduct its governorship primaries on Friday, September 28th while appeals against the primaries are to hold two days later on Sunday, September 30. 

The party fixed September 23rd for Senatorial primaries while appeals emanating from the primaries are to be heard on September 25th.

The House of Representatives candidates of the party are to emerge at its primaries scheduled for Wednesday, September 19th while appeals by aggrieved aspirants are to be heard two days later by the appeal committee.

State House of Assembly candidates are to be known on Saturday, September 15th, while the electoral panel will sit on disputed cases on Monday, September 17th.
