Bodies of two women found duct taped together in NYC's Hudson River are missing sisters from Virginia who jumped from Bridge in a suicide pact

Two bodies that were bound together with a duct tape washed up on shore along the Hudson River in New York City and they have been identified as missing sisters aged 16 and 22.

The New York Police Department says the bodies that were found Wednesday lying on rocks along the river were 22-year-old Rotana Farea and her 16-year-old sister, Tala Farea, both of Fairfax, Virginia. Police suspect a suicide pact.

They had seemingly both jumped off the George Washington bridge and neither body showed signs of trauma, but the cause of death remains unknown.

The bodies were joined together with duct tape at the waist so the sisters faced each other. Police said both were fully clothed in black jackets with fur trim and black leggings when their lifeless corpses were spotted near Riverside Park on the Upper West Side of the city.

EMS pronounced them dead at the scene after they are believed to have floated six miles down the cold water.

Tala was last seen August 24, according to a posting on the website of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The alert said she might be with her sister.
