Shocking moment former soldier deliberately drove car into crowd of people outside night club

A former soldier deliberately drove his car into a couple of nightclub bouncers after he was kicked out of the club and it was caught on video.

Shailem Dodson, 20, was thrown out of the club after 2 women complained that he was causing trouble. Intent on revenge, Shailem got into his car and drove it, mounting the pavement, smashing through the club's metal barrier and driving straight into the nightclub's doormen standing guard outside.

In the video, one of the doormen, whose name has been given as Rafael Zanin, is seen being swept off his feet and thrown into the air when the car hit him. He then lay on the floor bleeding while another doorman Darren Peterson punched Dodson to stop him leaving the scene.

Dodson was thrown out of the Halo nightclub in Bournemouth, Dorset, UK, at around 2.30am last December, but the video is just being released.

Dodson was cleared of attempted murder and trying to cause grievous bodily harm, GBH, yesterday, but he previously admitted common assault. He will be sentenced at a later date.
