Sesan Fabamise, Senior
Lecturer and Acting Head, Department of Public and International Law,
Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and
Master of Laws (LL.M.) degrees of the University of Lagos.
He is a
Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, having been
called to the Nigerian Bar. He had earlier bagged a Higher National
Diploma in Architecture (HND Arch) from the, then, Ondo State Polytechnic,
Owo, in July, 1985.
He was a Lecturer in the Department of Jurisprudence
and International Law, Faculty of Law, University of Lagos between 1999
and 2007.
In June 2007, he joined the National Assembly Commission,
Abuja, and was Senior Legislative Aide to Senator Sola Akinyede (PDP) of
Ekiti South Senatorial District between June 2007 and May 2011 and also
to Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi (ACN) of Ekiti North Senatorial District
between June 2011 and December 2012.
During his legislative assignment
in the National Assembly, he was involved in the drafting of several
Legal Instruments, among which were the Evidence Act Cap E14 LFN 2004
(Amendment) Act, 2011 as well as the Money Laundering (Amendment) Act,
2011.
He was also involved in the process of the first amendment of the
1999 constitution by the 6th session of the National
Assembly.
He has published several articles in the area of Private and
Public International Law. He has equally delivered several lectures on
anti-corruption laws and policies at various anti-corruption conferences
in Nigeria.
He
was a member, Editorial Board, Quarterly Criminal Cases Report, 2005 –
2006 and member, Compilation/Editorial Committee, Nigeria Treaty Series,
1990-2007 Edition.
He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the
Nigerian Association of Law Teachers and currently the Deputy
Secretary-General II of the Nigerian Society of International Law.
