Strike.

Doctors, under the employment of the Lagos State Government, yesterday, commenced an indefinite strike over unpaid salaries.

The doctors are, also, complaining of the casualisation of doctors' employment by the state government and selective application of the 'No work no pay' rule to doctors, alone.

They argued that workers in other sectors of the economy went on strike at various times and were paid for the periods they were on strike. They claim that is not the case with doctors. The state government has refused to pay them for the last time they were on strike.

They threatened that the Nigerian Medical association (NMA) will join the strike on Monday, March 23, 2015, if nothing is done by the state government.
