Air Traffic Controllers in Nigeria, today, embarked on a one-day strike which paralysed domestic flights.
The strike, which caught passengers by surprise, left many of them stranded at various airports in Nigeria, forcing some of them to return to their homes.
The controllers are on strike over various welfare issues. International flights were not affected by the strike.
Although domestic flights had since resumed, the controllers have threatened to embark on a full scale strike, commencing from Monday April 20, 2015, if their demands are not met by the government.
