UN tells Buhari to Sustain the War Against Boko Haram.

Special Representatives of the UN Secretary General in West and Central Africa,  Mr. Mohammed Ibn Chambers and Abdoulaye Bathily, conveyed the best wishes of the Ban Ki Moon to the President-elect, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(rtd.) and also congratulate the President-elect in his Kaduna home on Friday.

The Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, has asked the President-elect to sustain the war against Boko Haram, which had over the years wreaked havoc on the people of North-East states of the country.

The UN Secretary General noted that the use of force should be sustained in order to give room for humanitarian development of the region.

The UN chief appealed to Buhari to keep to his promises of fighting insecuirty, corruption and improving the economy of the country and said they were in his office to congratulate him and to also appeal to him on the need to sustain the fight against Boko Haram.
