Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh, has proposed a 23-man squad which will be
made up of 18 foreign-based professionals and five players from the domestic
league, for September’s AFCON qualifier in Tanzania.
However, there are also speculations that Oliseh could invite more NigeriaN Professional League players for the tie.
“Oliseh wants to list 18 professionals from overseas for the match in Tanzania, while five places will be left for the players in the local league. But some have asked that he increases the number of the players from the league,” a top official informed AfricanFootball.com
Players based abroad will be expected to fly straight to Dar es Salaam, where they will meet with the delegation from Nigeria.
Oliseh will open the training camp on August 16 in Abuja, where he will be working with majorly home-based players.
