Coach
of the U-23 team, Samson Siasia, has invited 31 players for camping in
preparation for next month’s All Africa Games in Brazzaville, Congo.
The
list, which is made up of mostly players who qualified Nigeria for the Games,
has a few new faces such as Lucky Jimoh, Bright Onyedikachi, Olisah Ndah
amongst others.
Nigeria
will face Ghana, Senegal and Egypt in Group B of the men’s football tournament
of the 11th All Africa Games holding from September 3 to 18.
The
team qualified for the tournament after beating Zambia 2-1 in their second leg
qualifier in Lusaka in April. A brace from Taiwo Awoniyi had given Nigeria the
much needed win. The first leg fixture had ended goalless in Port Harcourt.
