Contrary to yesterday’s promise by the Chairman of the Senate ad hoc
committee on Media, Senator Dino Melaye, that the lawmakers were united,
the Upper Chamber’s resumption of plenary on Tuesday after a six-week
recess witnessed a rowdy session.
This was after 84 of the senators present at the plenary passed a vote of confidence on the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, who is standing trial for corruption and false declaration of assets at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT.
