A rare pink dolphin named “pinkie” could
be pregnant, marine specialists believe.
“Pinkie”, the dolphin was
spotted mating by Captain Erik Rue from Calcasieu Charter Service.
He has observed Pinkie for the last
eight years and said that at first she was very close to her mother.
But then she started swimming with
another pod, but she’s caught the eye of one particular male.

Captain Rue told ‘myfox8’ we
still see her swimming almost every day in the summertime. We’ve seen her
a lot in the last few weeks. She looks happy and healthy.’
The World Wildlife Fund says
Pinkie’s species type is unknown but there is a species called the Amazon River
dolphin that is naturally pink in color.
Let’s face it; we would all want to
see a family of all pink dolphins…
