Sunday Oliseh’s first official outing as Super Eagles, ended in a stalemate, as Nigeria were held to a 0-0 draw by Tanzania.

The former national team skipper, travelled to Dar es Salaam with a relatively young and inexperience squad – with an average of 23.

Both sides struggled to break down each, but the hosts has the clear-cut chances. Each time they were let down by poor finishing or good goalkeeping from Carl Ikeme, who was making his debut.

The Wolves keeper, denied Thomas Ulimwengu in the 67th minute, before scrambling to Mrisho Ngassa’s follow-up.

Nigeria now have four points ahead of Egypt’s game against Chad on Sunday.
