Amokachi resigns as coach of FC Ifeanyi Ubah

Former Super Eagles assistant coach, Daniel Amokachi, has resigned as coach of Nigeria Professional Football League team, FC Ifeanyi Ubah.

“Yes, I have resigned as the coach of Ifeanyi Ubah. I am in Kaduna right now,” Amokachi told AfricanFootball.com

Although he refused to reveal exactly why he quit, many observers have linked it with what happened after the team were beaten 1-0 by Sharks in Port Harcourt on Sunday.

The team were ordered to embark on a night journey, an order which the coaches and players rejected.
Amokachi was then asked to stay away from the club over alleged insubordination.

“Amokachi went against the orders of the club proprietor and as a consequence the club’s technical director Obuh will take charge of the team’s next game against Pillars,” another source added.

John Obuh will take charge of the team when they host Kano Pillars this weekend.
