Boko Haram: Dangote Donates N100M to IDPs


The Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Foundation, Alhaji Aliko Dangote has donated N100 million to persons affected by the Boko Haram insurgency in the Northeast.


This was disclosed by the foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, Zouera Youssouffou during an advocacy and fund raising ceremony recently organised by Daily Trust in Abuja.


Mr. Youssouffou said further that the amount had been donated to relief the burden of people in different IDP camp spread all over the North Eastern part of the country and due to the concern Mr. Aliko Dangote has for Nigeria’s Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

Meanwhile, the donation came as at the time some IDPs recently held a protest to condemn the living conditions in the camps where they were being housed.
