Champions League: Arsenal, Chelsea beaten, Barcelona produce fine comeback

Arsenal and Chelsea continued England’s poor start to this season’s UEFA Champions League, after they both lost on Match Day 2.

The Gunners, who were beaten 2-0 at Dinamo Zagreb, needed all three points to get their campaign on. But Felipe Pardo opened scoring for Olympiacos in the 33rd minute. Theo Walcott equalized for the home side, but David Ospina fumbled the ball into his own net, to gift the Greeks a half-time lead.

Alexis Sanchez equalized for Arsenal again, but one minute later, they allowed Alfred Finnbogason slide in the winner. Arsene Wenger’s men are now bottom of Group F with zero points.

Jose Mourinho did not enjoy a good return to FC Porto, as his Chelsea team lost 2-1.

Bayern Munich hammered Dinamo 5-0, while Luis Suarez scored a late winner, as Barcelona came from behind to defeat Bayer Leverkusen 2-1. Hulk inspired Zenit to a 2-1 win over Gent, Valencia won 1-0 away at Lyon, while BATE shocked Roma 3-2 at home.
