Ahmed Musa and Moses Simon scored in either half, as Nigeria beat Niger Republic 2-0 in a friendly match on Tuesday.
Musa, who was captain for the day in Vincent Enyeama’s absence, broke the deadlock at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt from the penalty spot in the first half.
The hosts continued to create chances, but failed to increase the margin. However, in the second half, Simon pounced to double Nigeria’s advantage.
This is Sunday Oliseh’s first victory in charge of the Eagles.
Last weekend, Nigeria was held to a goalless draw in his first game in charge away to Tanzania, in an AFCON 2017 qualifier in Dar es Salaam.
