Home-based Eagles still without Belgium visas

Home-based Super Eagles and officials, are still stuck in the country, due to the non-issuance of Belgium visas.

They were scheduled to fly out last week and meet up with their foreign-based colleagues, but the hitch has not been resolved yet.

“We still don’t have visas,” a top official told AfricanFootball.com

“We are now hoping we will be given visas on Tuesday to travel out later that same day.”

The six players from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) affected are goalkeepers Femi Thomas and Ikechukwu Ezenwa, defenders Chima Akas and Austin Oboroakpo, midfielder Paul Onobi and forward Prince Aggrey.

Nigeria will play DR Congo on Thursday and Cameroon three days later.
