Asisat Oshoala of Liverpool Ladies, failed to qualify for the next
round of the UEFA Women’s Champions League, after they lost 1-0 at home
to Brescia on Wednesday night.
Oshoala had the first big chance of the match, but fired over from close range in the 20th minute. Six minutes later, Brescia took the lead through Barbara Bonansea.
With 14 minutes left, Liverpool had the ball in the back of the net, but it was ruled out for a foul on the goalkeeper.
The game was Matt Beard’s final match in charge, before leaving for Boston Breakers in the USA.
Oshoala played all 90 minutes.
