The Nigeria Police on Tuesday in Abuja announced that two suspects
have been arrested in connection with the Oct. 2 bombings in Nyanya and
Kuje, FCT.
DAILY POST reports that while 17 were killed in Kuje, 2 people lost their lives in the Nyanya blast. No fewer than 20 people also sustained varied degrees of injuries.
Disclosing the development at the Conference of Senior Police Officers, the Inspector-General of Police (I-G), Mr Solomon Arase, said that the suspects aged 25 and 27 were from Kogi.
He said that plans by the arrested suspects to carry out another attack has have been foiled following the arrest.
The IG disclosed further that 12 already prepared and prime Home Made Explosives (HME) hidden in 12 Farouk soft drinks cans and 28 pieces of electric detonators were recovered from the suspects.
“The suspects are aiding detailed police investigations into their broad terror network and will be brought to deserve justice,” he said.
The I-G urged the media to continue to support the police in order to completely rid the country of every form crime.
