Popular gospel singer, Yinka Ayefele, was reported to have been attacked by some thugs in Ondo State over the weekend.
He was reportedly attacked by the hoodlums at a burial ceremony held in Ijare town in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State.
According to Vanguard, Ayefele, who thrilled guests at the burial ceremony of 85-year-old Madam Ebunoluwa Lydia Odumakinde.
It was said that the thugs, who got information that the singer was allegedly paid the sum of N3million to perform at the event, approached him for their own part of the money as 'settlement'.
But the singer was said to have declined parting a part of the money to them, which reportedly infuriated them.
The hoodlums then allegedly threatened to cause commotion and in the process, which forced the singer to be whisked away.
However, some of his band boys were not too lucky as they were injured by the angry youths. Also, some of his musical instruments were damaged by the thugs.
