Recently, news about a housemaid from Malawi, who chopped off the hand of her baby, resurfaced on the Internet and social media.

The story was first publicized in September, when faceofmalawi published it. However, the incident is believed to have happened much earlier.

According to reports, the maid got pregnant, and alleged that her employer’s husband was the father. However, because he refused to take responsibility for the child, the maid is said to have chopped off the baby’s hand.
