Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, took to his Facebook wall to
announce that they have activated the safety check on their site
following the bomb blast in Yola, Adamawa state, yesterday.
Facebook came under criticism for a perceived Western bias when it activated
Safety Check after the Paris attacks, with critics noting that terrorist
attacks in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia hadn't previously
warranted its deployment.
The safety check enables Facebook users
announce that they are still alive after a mishap in any troubled
