Guinea Declared Ebola Free.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared that Guinea is free of Ebola.

According to CNN, declaration was made because 42 days have passed since the last person confirmed to have Ebola tested negative for the second time.

And now, the country is entering into a 90-day period of heightened surveillance to ensure that any new cases are identified quickly.

You will recall that the Ebola outbreak that ravaged West Africa began in Guinea in December 2013 and spread to Liberia, Sierra Leone and seven other countries.
