Ooni of Ife and Arole Oodua His
Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja ll, was yesterday, 12th December
2015, in the ancient town of Ode-Itsekiri in Delta State to witness the
official coronation of the new Olu of Warri Kingdom HRM Godfrey Abiloye Ikenwoli
Emiko.

Emiko was selected recently following the demise of the late Olu, HRM
Ogiame Atuwatse II, Godwin Toritseju Emiko on 15th September 2015.
Oba Ogunwusi had earlier same day attended an event at the Obafemi Awolowo
University(OAU) where the Etsu Nupe, HRM, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar was installed
as the Chancellor of the university.
Oba Adeyeye Ogunwus was accompanied
by about twenty traditional rulers at the event. The royal
father royally arrived the Island ancestral home of the entire
Itsekiri nation, which is a branch of Oduduwa Race and was royally received by
the anxiously waiting crowd.
The crowd at the event were
uncontrollably jubilating and anxious to receive this great African Monarch in
their domain.

Sijuwade also visited the Warri kingdom in 1987 to witness the
coronation of late Ogiame Atuwatse II.
