A boy, in
India, has died while trying to take a selfie with an Elephant.
The 15-year-old boy, Mithun Paswan, was trampled to death by the wild elephant after trying to take a selfie with it in the Araria District of Bihar.
The boy who joined a crowd of people watching the elephant as it wandered around the village of Majlispur, was with two of his friends
According to reports, Mithun and two of his friends tried to take a selfie of the animal on their cellphones but got too close to the animal while it was on the rampage in a maize field.

Seeing
the youngsters, the pachyderm moved menacingly towards them but while his
friends ran away, Mithun was caught and trampled by the elephant.
The villagers, while watching from a distance called Forestry department officials for help. The boy was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead.
The
incident created panic in the area.The forest department officials, who were
informed about the incident, were trying to locate the elephant which was
believed to have entered into another village.
