Lagos police command raid criminals enclaves in Akala-Mushin, arrest 255 suspects, recovers 36 bags of weeds and 2 rifles
The Commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Edgal Imohimi, on 28th February 2018, paraded 255 suspects arrested during a raid at Akala-Mushin and Idi-Oro areas of Lagos State. The command recovered 36 bags of weeds, 2 pump action rifles and ammunition during the raid.

The raid was ordered by the commissioner after the incessant attack by the criminals on residents of Akala-Mushin and law enforcement officers.

Speaking during the parade, the commissioner revealed that the criminals resisted arrest and attack police officers by hurling stones and different types of missiles at them. They also destroyed windscreens of vehicles parked on the roadside.

 This, however, didn't deter the policemen as they succeeded in arresting 255 suspects comprising of 246 males and 9 females.

Investigations into the case are concluded and all arrested criminals have been charged to court with the collaboration of the Directorate of Public  Prosecution.
