3SC’s Victory over Warri Wolves very significant —Agoye

3SC head coach, Edith Agoye

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) head Coach, Edith Agoye has described the victory over Warri Wolves as very significant.

The Shooting Stars recorded their first away victory in Nigeria National League (NNL) campaign against hard Warri Wolves last weekend.

Former Lobi Stars striker, Akombo Ukeyima scored the only goal of the match in the 85th minute to pocket the three maximum points.

Speaking, Agoye said “The game is not about three or eight points! If Warri Wolves had won, we would still have been on one point, leading us with eight points. It will be extremely difficult for us to catch up. This win is very significant and we are happy,” Agoye said.

“It is very good to get maximum away points against Warri Wolves because it has helped us to recover the lost points against Bendel Insurance last week”.

“This victory will steer us a bit from the tough group and henceforth we will be in control of our games both home and away.

“Bayelsa will leave Ibadan empty-handed on Sunday as we are ready to pick all our home points”.

With the victory, 3SC have amassed four points from two games behind Warri Wolves’ six points.

3SC are expected to face Bayelsa United this weekend at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
