Kole Ajayi’s death a rude shock, frightening- ADP gov candidate, Adewale

Action Democratic Party (ADP) candidate for the Ekiti State governorship election, Otunba Segun Adewale, has described the death of Barrister Kole Ajayi as a rude shock and frightening, expressing his deepest condolences to the state and family for the monumental loss.

Ajayi, who died last Friday, was a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and contested the ticket of the party for the July 14 governorship election.

Adewale, while paying his last respect to the deceased in a condolence message, which he personally signed, described the transition of Ajayi as “sad and painful,” adding that the state had been denied the services and potentials of a committed and dedicated politician.

“It’s terrible to hear about the demise of Barrister (Ajayi) and I express my sincere sympathy to the family, his party (APC) and state as a whole.

“I offer you (family) my thoughts, prayers and support during this dark moment in your life. I hope that God brings the family the much-needed peace during this sad time. My condolences for this irreparable loss,” Adewale said.

OSAPraPra, as he is fondly called by his admirers, urged Ajayi’s family, friend, associates and Ekiti State University Alumni to honour the memory of the deceased, by continually upholding the values of honesty and accountability, which served as his reference point throughout his time on earth.

The ADP governorship candidate prayed God to grant the family, friends and associates the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, and comfort all who mourned the passage of the late politician.

Adewale, however, announced the suspension of his campaign activities for 48 hours, covering Saturday and Sunday as a mark of honour for the deceased, noting that late Ajayi’s contributions to the evolution of Ekiti politics would forever be remembered.
