Meghan's sister involved in accident after she slammed Kensington Palace, saying they left her father stranded in hospital and she has had to wire him money

Meghan Markle's father is "alert and coherent" after undergoing heart surgery in a Mexico hospital on Wednesday morning. But his eldest daughter, Samantha Markle isn't so good after suffering an accident.

Following the successful heart surgery, Meghan's half-sister, Samantha Markle, hit out at the British Royals, whose family her sister is marrying into, for not helping her father after his heart attack. Samantha Markle launched the astonishing attack on officials at Kensington Palace, saying she had to wire cash over to her 73-year-old father following the operation.

Samantha herself was on Wednesday involved in a car crash hours after she slammed the royal family for not supporting her father after his heart attack. She suffered a suspected broken ankle and a fractured knee in the car crash on Wednesday.

In spite of the accident she suffered, Samantha dismissed reports that Kensington Palace had offered support for her father in Mexico and had not offered to fly him to London early or provide details on how he could get there. 

She added:

That is not true or he would have been living in his place. He'd have a reliable vehicle. He'd have been with security. I have receipts showing I've sent my father money twice by MoneyGram because he needed it.

There was no actual contact from Meghan and she has not spoken with my father since the heart attack. I don't know why that is, I'm not blaming her.

This goes directly against Thomas Markle Sr.'s own claims that Meghan called and texted him after he decided to pull out of the wedding.

After last night's car crash in Florida, Samantha Markle's boyfriend told TMZ that the accident was caused by a paparazzi car. He said a photographer's car veered in front of them, forcing him to swerve left and crash into a concrete barrier. Mark said Samantha, who has multiple sclerosis, was left with a twisted and backwards-facing foot after striking the windshield and falling to the floor mat. He said he then rushed her to hospital.

The accident came just hours after Samantha said Mr Markle is "upset and alone" in the hospital following his surgery. Samantha claims her father checked in "anonymously" at a hospital to avoid photographers.

She said: "He is badly in need of help. I'm dreadfully worried about him. He's completely on his own."
