The Police Service Commission has invited 6, 253 successful candidates for training and recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force.
It stated that the candidates whose names were posted on its website on Saturday, would proceed to training school on or before June 13.
The statement read, “All successful candidates are directed to check their names at their various state Police Command Headquarters for the institutions where they are to be trained.
“The date of commencement of training is Friday, June 8, 2018. Resumption closes on June 13, 2018 in all the training schools. Failure to report at the Training Schools by June 13, 2018 will mean that the candidates have declined the offer.”
The commission had said that it was recruiting 6,000 constables, but checks indicated that 6,253 successful applicants would take part in the training.
Our correspondent learnt that each local government council was given seven slots while the remaining slots would be shared by states.
Kano had the highest number with 308 candidates, followed by Katsina with 238 in the list that was released last week where 5,107 candidates were shortlisted for medical screening.
