Trump justifies separation of children from migrant parents

President Donald Trump has justified the forceful separation of over 2,000 children from their parents in ongoing crackdown on illegal immigrants across the United States.

Trump had, in a series of tweets on Tuesday, argued that without a border, there could be no country, saying, “If you don’t have borders, you don’t have a country!”

Urging the Congress to change what he calls ‘the ridiculous laws” on immigration, the President wrote, “Now is the best opportunity ever for Congress to change the ridiculous and obsolete laws on immigration.

“Get it done, always keeping in mind that we must have strong border security.”

Trump counselled that America must always arrest people coming into the country illegally; noting that, “Of the 12,000 children, 10,000 are being sent by their parents on a very dangerous trip, and only 2,000 are with their parents, many of whom have tried to enter our country illegally on numerous occasions.”

He berated Democrats, calling them “the problem.”

“They don’t care about crime and want illegal immigrants, no matter how bad they may be, to pour into and infest our country, like MS-13.”

Mara Salvatrucha (MS), also known as MS-13, is an international criminal gang that originated in Los Angeles, California, in the 1980s.

He suggested that the Democrats can’t win on their “terrible policies,” and that “they view illegal immigrants “as potential voters.”

“If you don’t have borders, you don’t have a country!” he argued.

He said that crime in Germany was up by over 10 per cent, but that German officials did not want to report the crimes since they allowed the migrants into their country.

Compared to German, Trump added, “Other countries are even worse,” urging, “Be smart America!”
