Barely 24 hours to the governorship election in Ekiti State, security Operatives have reportedly arrested the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy governorship candidate, Deji Ogunsakin and three members of the State House of Assembly.
The incident was confirmed by the State Governor, Ayodele Fayose who raise the alarm on Thursday night.
In a series of tweets, Fayose wrote: ”Ekiti under siege again!
”Presently, the residence of PDP Deputy governorship candidate, Kazeem Deji Ogunsakin has been invaded by armed policemen.
”Three house of Assembly members have been arrested too.
”Whereabouts unknown yet!”
Also Fayose’s Special Adviser on Public Communication and New Media, Lere Olayinka in a tweet wrote, ”siege has started again!
”Ekiti Election: PDP Deputy governorship candidate, Deji Ogunsakin, three assembly members – Wale Ayeni, Dr Samuel Omotoso, Musa Arogundade arrested by the police.”
