Graphic video shows bodybuilder pummeling girlfriend, kicking her more than 100 times and stabbing her in 40 minute "roid rage" attack

A graphic video has emerged showing a bodybuilder viciously beating his girlfriend in a jealous rage before stabbing her and putting her in a coma.

Paul Bashi, 35, was arrested by authorities in Macomb County, Michigan, last month for trying to kill his girlfriend. He was remanded to jail and placed on $5million bond, according to WJBK-TV.

According to investigators, surveillance video from inside his rented home in Washington Township shows Bashi look at his girlfriend’s cell phone. Moments later, his girlfriend, 22-year-old Kristina Perry, walks through the door and Bashi runs toward her and begins to attack her with a number of household items.

In the footage, Bashi is seen punching, kicking, and throwing lit candles and other objects at Perry. Investigators say that Perry was kicked more than 100 times and stabbed repeatedly.

Perry was discovered on the porch of the home by neighbors, who then call the police. She was rushed to hospital, where she spent days in a coma.

Even though she was beaten within inches of her life, Perry did not want to see her boyfriend go to prison. After her recovery, she took the witness stand during Bashi’s arraignment and pleaded for prosecutors to dismiss all charges. She told the judge she wanted the defendant out of jail, and told the judge that it was her fault this happened.

The prosecutor said he was not surprised by Perry’s request.

He said:

Our office handles about 2,500 domestic violence cases a year.

Of those cases 60 per cent of the victims either recant their story or don't show up to the court at all.

The defendant puts pressure on the victim to dismiss the charges.
