Doctors (LAUTECH) Protest in Osun State.



Resident Doctors of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), ‎Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, on Tuesday,  May 12, 2015, blocked the entrance to the Osun State House of Assembly, protesting the non-payment of their six months’ salary.

The protesting doctors called on the leadership of the House to help address their plight.

President of the Resident Doctors, LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, Dr Olalekan Ajayi, who spoke with journalists, said that the situation had become unbearable.

‎He maintained that despite the hardship facing them, the doctors have continued to discharge their duties to the people of the state.

Deputy Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Akintunde Adegboye, who addressed the protesting resident doctors appealed to them to bear with the government.

He gave an assurance that the legislature will commence talks with the executive to look for ways of solving the issues surrounding the workers unpaid salaries.
