President, Muhammadu Buhari |
The Presidency released a statement on Friday that the number one citizen will be giving the keynote speech during the African Union (AU) meeting in South Africa, which prompted him to jet out of the country today.
Shockingly, Secrets Reporters authoritatively report that at ongoing the 25th AU Summit in Johannesburg, Buhari is nowhere to be found
to deliver the much hyped keynote speech.
The President who was meant to deliver a speech on NEPAD was however represented by an underling whose name is not even well known in the international community.
The representative while delivering his speech urged NEPAD to prioritize industrialization, infrastructure, women empowerment, regional integration at the ongoing summit.
Multiple sources who reached out to news men following posts put up by concerned Nigerian citizens on the Nigerian blogosphere revealed that while on board the plane, the President felt uneasy and sick, an action they alleged may have forced his aides to rush him to an undisclosed location for private medical treatment.
They added further that it could be panic attack, as he displayed signs and symptoms of such. This they said could have happened following fear of committing another blunder as the he did the day before traveling to South Africa for the meeting.
As he was briefing the press in Abuja on June 11th after a Lake Chad commission meeting, Gen. Buhari referred to the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel as President Michelle and referred Germany as West Germany.
“I was personally invited by G7. I went there and I was asked to brief the G7 and I was impressed with the tremendous sympathy they have for this sub-region, the Lake Chad Basin Commission.
Their humanitarian approach to the issue to say the least is very very impressive and all of them, not only in Europe; from President Obama to the Chairman of G7 President Michelle of West Germany and french President. They are all willing to help us”, he said.
This went viral with the #WestGermany and may have caused a lot of embarrassment to the presidency. Gist has it that he is avoiding same embarrassing situation before the international audience in South Africa right now.
In just 15 days in office he has jetted out of the country four times, while Boko Haram, the Islamic terror group, with the backing of ISIS is bombing and killing Nigerians.
No word yet from the presidency
Culled from Reports Afrique.
