Eaglets relocate to Katsina for World Cup

The Golden Eaglets have moved their base to Katsina, as they continue to prepare for the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile.

35 players and eight officials made the trip to the North Western state, as disclosed by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on their official website.

Coach Emmanuel Amuneke, thanked the management and staff of Serob Legacy Hotel, for accomodating the team throughout their camping in Abuja.

“We want to thank you all for making our stay here pleasurable. But we have to leave now for Katsina to continue our preparation,” he said.

“By the grace of God, we will meet again and have cause to celebrate what God is going to do for us.”
On Friday, the Eaglets played their last friendly match against Santos Academy and recorded a comfortable 3-0 win.

The World Cup is scheduled to hold between October 17 and November 8.
