National Working Committee of the PDP Set to Probe Fani-KAyode's Membership of the PDP.

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has concluded arrangements to launch an investigation into the membership of the party by the Deirector of the Media and Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode.

The decision of the NWC comes a day after Fani-Kayode criticised the NWC and labelled its members as being responsible for the loss of President Goodluck Jonathan in the presidential election.

 In a statement by its National Secretary, Prof. Adewale Oladipo, the NWC said it has written a letter to the chairman of its Osun State chapter on the issue.

Oladipo said the NWC at its meeting “reviewed the press war mounted against the NWC by Femi Fani-Kayode”.

According to Oladipo on the letter written to the Osun State chapter, from where Fani-Kayode hails from: “If he (Fani-Kayode) is a registered and financial member, proper disciplinary actions should be meted against Femi Fani-Kayode through his ward for engaging in acts contrary to section 58 (1) b of the party constitution.

“If not a member, you are to reprimand him as an usurper.

“All actions taken should be communicated to the NWC.”
