The Nigerian Army is Prosecuting 579 Officers and Soldiers in Two Courts Martial.

The Nigerian Army has said that it is prosecuting a total of 579 officers and soldiers for offences bordering on professional misconduct and indiscipline in the Armed Forces.

The Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, made the comment during a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday, May 20, 2015.

He did not, however, disclose how many of the Army personnel were of the officers cadre and those who belonged to the rank and file.

Usman said the Army personnel were being tried in two existing Courts Martial of the Nigerian Army at the Army Headquarters Garrison, the Mogadishu Cantonment, Abuja, and  the headquarters of the 81 Division in Lagos.
