A Civil Society Organisation, Youth Stand Up For Nigeria (YSN) yesterday said the travails of Senate President, Bukola Saraki were over the 2019 presidential election.
Speaking in Abuja, its National President, Comrade Bulus Mathias said the entire problems of Saraki were motivated by the interest of some party leaders who were already working to position themselves for 2019 presidential election.
He warned that any unlawful removal of the Senate President could plunge the red chamber into crises, thereby dragging the nation’s socio-economic and political developments backward.
Mathias urged President Muhammadu Buhari to lift the veil of political witch-hunt and address real issues instead of selective agenda to suit some leaders in the APC.
He added that the move to capture the Senate Presidency has nothing to do with the welfare of the people.
“The fight against Saraki is all about the Senate presidency and not because of our dear nation,” he said.
