Paul
Pogba has revealed his bizarre nickname for Manchester United new-boy Anthony
Martial, his France international team-mate.
Quoted
on Goal, the Juventus midfielder calls Martial ‘little old man’ – supposedly a
reference to a maturity beyond his years shown in his life on and off the
pitch so far.
Already
married with children, the 19-year-old striker became the most expensive
teenager in history upon moving to Old Trafford for £36m this summer – a deal
which certainly raised one or two
eyebrows.

However,
he got his Premier League career off to a flying start scoring a great goal
after coming on from the bench against Liverpool on his Old Trafford debut.

And,
Pogba is tipping the former Monaco man for success, saying: ‘I
already call him “little old man”. He’s 19 and he’s already very mature
for his age.
‘He has
great qualities and very big potential. He’s going to bring a lot to the French
team and I’m very happy for him.
‘Now he’s
changed club and he’s going to get to know the Premier League. He’s going to
play with some big players and he’ll make a lot of progress.’
