Truce: Osinbajo to represent Nigeria in Burkina Faso

As a follow-up to Tuesday’s extra-ordinary session of Economic Community of West African States’ leaders in Abuja, regarding the situation in Burkina Faso, a select group of West African leaders will be meeting on Wednesday in Quagadougou.

President Muhammadu Buhari, who hosted the Abuja summit, will be represented at the meeting by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo(SAN).

In all, six ECOWAS leaders will be attending the meeting later today with the leaders of last Thursday’s military coup in Burkina Faso.

The Vice President is expected back in Abuja later today according to a statement by his spokesman, Laolu Akande.
