Though the Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal has sacked Gov. Nyesom Wike from office, here are five points that seemingly crushed his defence at the tribunal.
- According to the judgement, Dakuku Peterside, the petitioner's witnesses were reliable and their allegations relevant.
- Exhibit A9, which was presented by Peterside and which is a report by head of election monitoring team of INEC office in Rivers State, Charles Okoye, further gave credence to Dakuku's petition.
- Wike's witnesses not only dodged questions under cross-examination but also refused to answer some.
- On intimidation of voters, non-availability of result sheets, snatching of electoral materials, non-collation of results at wards and LG levels, the tribunal accepted Peterside's claims.
