4 Major points that nailed Rivers governor at election tribunal.

Though the Rivers State Election Petition Tribunal has sacked Gov. Nyesom Wike from office, here are five points that seemingly crushed his defence at the tribunal.

  • According to the judgement, Dakuku Peterside, the petitioner's witnesses were reliable and their allegations relevant.
  •  Exhibit A9, which was presented by Peterside and which is a report by head of election monitoring team of INEC office in Rivers State, Charles Okoye, further gave credence to Dakuku's petition.
  •  Wike's witnesses not only dodged questions under cross-examination but also refused to answer some.
  • On intimidation of voters, non-availability of result sheets, snatching of electoral materials, non-collation of results at wards and LG levels, the tribunal accepted Peterside's claims.
