Brymo Drops New Album Under US Label

Singer Brymo has dropped his new album, Trance, off the international label Tate Music Group (TMG).

The eight-track album is to be distributed in the US by TMG which is based in Mustang, Oklahoma and owned by Richard and Rita Tate, Qed.ng reported.

Brymo was previously signed to Chocolate City but left the label in 2013 and was almost immediately sued by the company for breaking his contract.

While at Chocolate City, he featured on Ice Prince’s Oleku and MI’s Action Film. and dropped the album SonOfAKapenta in 2012.

Following his exit and in the midst of a legal suit filed by Chocolate City, citing breach of contract, he independently released Merchants, Dealers & Slaves in 2013 and late in 2014 Tabula Rasa (The Gift).

He got a partnership and distribution deal with US-based label TMG in March 2015.

Speaking exclusively to The Cable in March 2015 Brymo said: “I don’t think there is anything that could make me return to Chocolate City. How they handled the entire event in the last two years is the reason I cannot go back.”
