The Third Mainland Bridge was temporarily shut to traffic this morning 29/04/2018 due to "Simulation Exercise" carried out by NEMA, LASTMA, the Police, the FRSC and other agencies of government.
The objective of the exercise is to achieve a coordinated response among these agencies who are usually the first responders in emergency situations.
The CP Lagos hereby apologises to Lagosians for the inconveniences suffered while the exercise lasted.
The CP added that the exercise was for common good.
The exercise is however, over and the bridge is now open to traffic.
