Tanzania: Vincent Enyeama Keeps Nigeria Waiting

The Super Eagles captain and goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, is the only player yet to arrive at the Super Eagles camp in Abuja, as of Tuesday, September 1.

The LOSC Lille first-choice goalkeeper is expected to make the trip to Tanzania for the all-important Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier away to Tanzania.

The team coordinator, Patrick Pascal, revealed that all invited players have already reported at the Bolton White Apartments team camp.

“Russia-based Ahmed Musa came in [Tuesday] evening and even trained. But the only player we are still expecting is the team captain Vincent Enyeama. The chief coach Sunday Oliseh expects him to report to camp unfailingly [on Wednesday] morning,” he told Goal.com.

The team is expected to train twice on Wednesday before jetting out to Dar es Salaam on Thursday afternoon via a chartered flight.

A 23-man squad which includes 18 foreign-based and five home-based players were selected for the match.
